ABOUT US
Flame Hockey Academy is based across Surrey and Sussex. It was founded in August 2016 by Lead Coach, Lucy Wood (former GB and England International Player and Commonwealth Games Silver medallist).
The Academy run holiday camps, small group masterclasses and private coaching for young players across the South East of England. We have an experienced and diverse coaching team that bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to share with players of all abilities and ages.
OUR MAIN AIMS:
To provide a fun but structured learning experience where young players develop new skills and gain the confidence to apply them in competitive matches.
To give players an opportunity to consolidate their skills and develop their tactical awareness in non assessed sessions.
To ensure a safe environment where all players of mixed ages and abilities are able to enjoy developing their hockey skills together.
To enable young athletes to understand the importance of healthy nutrition and fitness training in reaching their potential as a hockey player.
